Following a national search, the museum’s board of trustees announced the hiring of Aurore Giguet as its new executive director. Ms. Giguet officially assumes her duties on July 1. She takes over for Cara Sutherland, who resigned in March. “I am excited for the future of the Everhart Museum and the opportunity to champion and lead a museum with such history,” Ms. Giguet said in a statement. “I plan on focusing on the overall mission of the museum, its financial sustainability, and I’m looking forward to collaborating with the community.” Josh MCauiffe for The Times Tribune, Scranton PA.
